About me

As a recent graduate in Mechanical Engineering, my passion lies in the intersection of design, manufacturing, and data analysis. The thrill of creating something from scratch and witnessing its transformation into a functional reality has been the driving force behind my journey in engineering. My particular fascination lies in the aerospace and aviation sectors, where I have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge technologies and make remarkable advancements in space exploration.

 

During my capstone project, which focused on aerospace engineering with a specific emphasis on rockets, I undertook the challenge of developing and constructing an injection and storage system. This system played a crucial role in supplying ethylene (C2H4) and nitrous oxide (N2O) to the annular combustion chamber. Maintaining these reactants in liquid form within the tanks allowed for enhanced energy density before their conversion into gases for injection and detonation.

 

Throughout my academic endeavors, I have gained invaluable experience through a range of projects involving Arduino, 3D printing of CAD designs, and hands-on manufacturing in the laboratory. Whether it was during my machining class or my capstone project, I eagerly engaged in practical applications of the concepts I learned.

 

In my capstone project, I assumed the role of team manager, overseeing critical aspects such as documentation, progress presentations, and testing flowcharts. Additionally, I took charge of the analysis phase, utilizing Python for calculations and analyzing test data from thermocouples and pressure transducers. I successfully assembled and tested the prototype, conducting leak tests, cold flows, and more. Furthermore, I authored numerous Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for testing procedures.

 

As a woman embarking on a career in engineering, I am deeply committed to empowering and encouraging other girls to join the field, with a strong determination to challenge stereotypes. To honor the trailblazing role models who have paved the way for women in STEM, I have dedicated a page within my portfolio to showcase their inspiring stories and provide a source of motivation for those considering engineering and related fields.
